| Notes: | Tasted this 2003 vintage at the Toronto IDVP 2006 Port Tasting. This wine had a lot of legs. Little fruit in its odor, but some citrus flavour on the palette to start off. Good tannins to finish off. This was a refreshingly different style of Port wine than the typical Wares/Fladgate/Grahams crowd. I spoke to the winemaker, Tiago Alves de Sousa, and he said that the wine can be aged for 7-8 years further, but is very drinkable today. I totally agree. It was the best surprise of the 2006 Toronto tasting. |
