    Wine:1985 Taylor Fladgate Vintage
    Notes:Had another Taylor's 1985 a couple of days ago.

This bottle was on sale at K&L Wines.

Lots of alcohol, but only in the smell - not in taste. Nice jammy blackberry taste with a low amount of tannins. Good pepper, but not as much as others.

Interesting dark burgendy colour instead of what you would expect in a lighter red 1985. Overall, this tasted like a Mouvedre that was fortified instead of a classy Taylor from a fanstastic year.

Maybe, there was a reason that it was on sale; those cases were not stored properly. Or maybe the 1985s are now starting to show their age.
